- Loving the app "First 5"
It's a great way to start the first 5 minutes of your day in the Word and it's FREE. I'm not a morning person and I usually do the majority of my Bible reading and journaling later on in the day, so this is the perfect solution to getting your day off to the right start.
- vitaFusion™ Calcium Gummy - 500 mg per serving of 2 gummies plus 1000 IU of Vitamin D3.
These are the best way I have found to get your daily calcium requirements. They taste great - none of that chalky aftertaste other calcium supplements have. I get them from Amazon and have found them to be the cheapest there but you might have better luck elsewhere. And yes, they do look a little like ham and cheese cubes!
- verykool™ SL 5000
Re: My random thoughts post about not putting your cellphone in your back pocket...apparently I seem to think my phone is possessed as I have baptized it twice in the last six weeks or so.The second time was when it was in my back jeans pocket when I was about (key word - ABOUT) to answer the call of nature. It again went plop into a different bathroom fixture.
The initial baptism took a day to dry out but the second time, my cell earned a 3-day all-expenses paid vacation in a luxurious bag of rice. And guess what? It still works like a charm! Needless, to say, I am thrilled with my verykool™ SL 5000 I purchased from Amazon unlocked for my carrier, AT&T.
SL 5000 on Amazon
I purchased in December for $170 but at the time of this post, it is currently $115. It's been as low as $110 since December.
Pluses:
- Very thin and lightweight
- Can add an SD card (which you will want to do as phone storage is only 2 Gb)
- Front and Rear camera with flash
- Android - comes loaded with all things Google
- verykool™ is based in San Diego so no weird Chinese stuff you often find with "off-brand" phones
- Syncs with my Honda hands-free system
- Survives BRIEFLY getting wet but I wouldn't recommend testing this out!
Minuses:
- Haven't found a way to zoom the camera (at least yet)
- If you have an app loaded on the SD card, updates seem to throw it back onto phone storage
- No case available for this model (that I have been able to find so far)
- Icons and widgets inadvertently move too easily from one screen to another
- Front camera is not that whoopty-do but I HATE selfies so this really isn't a minus for me
- Rodan+Fields ESSENTIALS Foaming Sunless Tan
Finally! A sunless tanner that doesn't streak, dries quickly, and gives you a nice summertime glow! No "Donald Trump oompa-loompa" look here for this chick!
I use it every other day and have a nice light tan. If I used it every day or even twice a day, I'm sure I could go darker.
I have found the best application process is to apply all my normal body and face moisturizers first. While they dry and seep in, I comb out my wet hair, apply hair products and put in my contact lenses. Then I apply the sunless tanner (a little goes a long way) and while it dries, I blow dry my hair. When my hair is dried, it's safe to put on my clothes, then my makeup, style my hair and I'm ready for my second cup of coffee (the first being consumed after my son gets up for school and before the bus comes - it's a necessity that ensures I'm not sending our dog off for her high school education!)
Of course, for the best look - the same warning as with all sunless tanner applies - stay away from particularly dry or rough areas like elbows, knees, ankles, etc. and it always helps to loofah or use a scrub in the shower prior to use.
I don't sell Rodan+Fields but if you live in my area, you can get some from this great gal ($24 for a 4.2 fl oz. bottle.)
